OCMEA State Sponsored Events 2025-2026:

Fall Conference - October 19th, 2024 - Capital University
- A mixed event with both notable music education guest speakers, interactive sessions focused on chapter improvement, an esteemed teacher's panel, and a live rock band performance!
- Check-in will open at 9:45am, with our first session beginning at 10am. A important session on resumes and the hiring process will close out the conference, wrapping up around 3pm. More details will be forthcoming, but please mark your calendars!
OMEA PDC Meetings - January 29-31st, 2026 - Columbus
- Did you know? The OMEA Professional Development Conference is the third largest music conference in the United States with nearly 300 sessions presented by nationally recognized master teachers, concerts performed by over 30 of Ohio's most talented ensembles, and the largest music trade show east of the Mississippi! You don't want to miss it!
- The 2026 Conference runs from 9:30 AM, Thursday, January 29th - 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 31st at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
- Every year, there are many sessions specifically geared toward collegiate members. This year, there is at least one collegiate-oriented session during almost every time slot!

- At OMEA PDC, constituents signed letters advocating for music education to send to local representatives.
