Marching Band June Update

Greetings!

 I wanted to send out a final reminder about the Small Band Summer Session happening this Saturday from 10:00-2:30 at Berne Union High School.  This is a free event open to directors or MB staff members, with a focus on fostering marching band success at a small school.

• John Lindig (Ridgewood HS) and Tim Hoagland (Eastern Brown HS) will each present a session about their programs and what makes them so successful.
• OMEA Music Caption Head Jason Graham (Grove City HS) will present a session on strategies for success when designing and adapting your musical book.
• I will be presenting a session with tips and tricks for better integration of electronics into your MB program.
• The event is free, and lunch is provided.
• Please pre-register!

The local event schedule has some recent changes:

• Licking Heights will be a grass surface
• Thomas Worthington will have electrical access
• Event Chair names and contact info have been updated

Some events have already reached capacity and are closed. If you have not yet registered, I would encourage you to do so.


Look for the June Marching Band Corner video next week, with some updates/more information about the rule changes for this fall.
