2024 District 3 Junior High Festival (also check your email)
It is time to start preparing for the 2024 Junior High Festival! The festival this year will be held at Wapakoneta High School. (Jazz band rehearsals will be held at Ottawa-Glandorf High School and Wapakoneta High School). As the festival returns to Wapakoneta we will maintain the same process as it has been in the past.
This year we are glad to have Dr. Ryan Yahl (Miami University) to work with the band and Mrs. Katie Silcott (Olentangy Shanahan Middle School) to work with the choir. Adam Versbky (Ottawa-Glandorf Local Schools) and Gage Hoehne (Continental Local Schools) will be instructing the jazz band.
Attached you will find detailed information about the junior high festival and the process for nominating your students.
All nominations will be done through Google Form and you can start submitting them immediately. The nomination deadline is midnight on February, 23rd.
Before attempting to register your students, be sure to have the following documents scanned in PDF format and available for upload. Scan each item separately as they will be uploaded individually for each student. Be prepared with the following:
- Copy of your current OMEA card (which does not expire before the event)
Copy of each student's Emergency Medical Form (PDF format)
Copy of each student's Transportation Form (PDF format)
Copy of each student's Image Release Form (PDF format)

While completing the form, you will have the option to sign-up to help out as a sectional director. Please consider volunteering your time! The sectional rehearsal time on Friday is extremely important to the success of the festival. It would be great to have at least two directors per section.
